Holographic Metallized Paper

Holographic metallized paper is produced by micro-embossing a holographic diffraction pattern into the coating layer before vacuum metallization. The embossed micro-structure causes light diffraction after aluminum deposition, creating dynamic 3D visual effects such as rainbow, dot-matrix, and crystal patterns.
Product Features
•  Unique holographic effects: rainbow, dot-matrix, crystal, geometric patterns, etc
•  High-gloss metallic appearance with strong reflectivity
•  Compatible with offset, flexo, letterpress, and thermal transfer printing
•  Holographic effect can be toned or enhanced with transparent colored inks
Product Advantages
•  Excellent anti-counterfeiting: A reliable choice for safety labels and brand protection
•  High visual impact: dynamic 3D effect enhances shelf appeal and brand prestige
•  More eco-friendly than holographic film:More easily processed and eco-friendly
•  Mono-material, recyclable: Same as standard metalized paper

Thickness Specifications
•  Common GSM:70–90 g/m²
•  Typical GSM:70 g/m² / 80–90 g/m²
•  Face caliper:About 64 μm(70 g/m²)
•  Aluminum layer:About 0.02–0.03 μm

Main Applications

In the label industry, holographic metallized paper is mainly used as a face stock for pressure-sensitive and wet-glue labels, widely applied to premium or limited-edition beer, spirits, and wine labels, as well as cosmetics, promotional, gift, and brand-security labels; its unique holographic diffraction effect provides strong visual impact and hard-to-replicate anti-counterfeiting performance, while retaining the printability and recyclability of paper, making it ideal for enhancing shelf appeal and brand protection.
